AppLovin ads agency for fashion and apparel brands

AppLovin gives apparel brands full-screen video plus personalized catalog tiles, shown to mobile gamers who shop online every week. Apt Digital, an official AppLovin Partner Agency, builds and scales AppLovin campaigns for US fashion and apparel brands with wide product ranges.

Why AppLovin is worth testing for fashion and apparel

Fashion's paid social costs have climbed fastest. Triple Whale's 2025 apparel and accessories report, covering more than 8,000 brands, says acquisition costs are up 45% since 2023, and that the category's $80+ average order value is no longer the cushion it was. Apparel brands need new pools of buyers rather than more frequency on the same feeds.

AppLovin is one such pool. In a Kantar study of 2,500 US mobile gamers, commissioned by AppLovin, 71% said they shop online at least weekly and nearly 40% had bought a product within three months of seeing a mobile game ad. AppLovin's consumer brands page lists Fashion Nova, Gymshark, Bombas, Quince and Shapermint among its advertisers.

The clearest public apparel example is Rhoback. It told Modern Retail in October 2025 that AppLovin had become 16% of its paid media spend, its third-largest channel after Meta and Google. Its audience skewed female, so women's campaigns scaled faster than men's, and viewers watched 30 to 60 seconds of video.

Set expectations honestly. Fairing's 2025 data put apparel at 0.45% of game-attributed survey responses, well behind supplements and beauty. There is little public apparel-only performance data yet, and Apt does not have a published fashion case study.

Fashion creative that works on AppLovin

Fospha reports that 81% of top-performing AppLovin ads run longer than 30 seconds. For apparel, that time is best spent on fit, fabric and styling, which a static feed image cannot show.

  • Try-on hauls: one creator, four or five pieces, with height and size worn shown on screen.
  • Fabric proof: stretch tests, seam close-ups, wash-and-wear comparisons.
  • One piece, three ways: a hero item styled for work, weekend and evening, which pairs well with cross-sell catalog tiles.
  • Several body types in one video, so more viewers see themselves in the product.
  • Offer end cards built around free shipping, free returns or bundle pricing.
  • Drop and restock announcements, with urgency only when the window is real.

Set up the dynamic catalog properly

Apparel brands with five or more SKUs should run AppLovin's dynamic product catalog, which shows up to 12 personalized products after the video. AppLovin says a correct setup can raise conversions by up to 20%. A few settings matter more for clothing than for other categories.

  • Use Item Sets to collapse colorways, so one shirt does not fill several tiles.
  • Turn on cross-sell logic: if the video shows trousers, the tiles can show tops.
  • Exclude gift cards and low-value add-ons.
  • Connect Shopify so price and availability update automatically, and never list a sale price above the regular price.

Policy notes for apparel ads

Apparel rarely touches AppLovin's health rules, but three other policies come up often in fashion accounts: adult content, intellectual property and misleading promotions.

  • AppLovin bans explicit nudity and any sexualized focus on specific body parts. Swim, lingerie and shapewear creative should center on fit, fabric and support.
  • No dupes. Products bearing marks 'designed to resemble' another brand, or described as replicas or faux designer, count as counterfeit.
  • No public figure likeness or voice without permission, including AI lookalikes.
  • Promotions cannot be framed as time-limited if they run for long periods, and price and promotion must match the landing page.

How Apt runs AppLovin for fashion brands

We install the pixel through the Shopify app, build the catalog, then launch a cost-per-purchaser campaign and a ROAS campaign at roughly $500 a day each with five or six creative sets. Rhoback's 2025 complaint was that it could not exclude past buyers. AppLovin now offers prospecting and discovery audiences, and we use them when new-customer growth is the goal.

Sizing drives returns, so where you can share return data we read results on net revenue rather than gross ROAS alone. A try-on video that brings in orders with a high return rate is not a winner, and we cut budget from it even if the dashboard looks good.

Your first batch of creative is free. Statics then cost $30 and AI video $75, with 3 to 5 business days turnaround. We charge $750 a month per channel plus 2.5% of spend, capped at $25,000 a month. See how the wider service works on our AppLovin agency page.

Questions about AppLovin for fashion brands

Do AppLovin ads work for fashion brands?

They can. Rhoback reported AppLovin reaching 16% of its paid media spend, and Fashion Nova, Gymshark and Quince appear on AppLovin's advertiser page. Survey data from Fairing shows apparel trailing supplements and beauty in share of game-attributed customers, though. We treat fashion as a test with clear targets for CPA and new-customer revenue before committing larger budgets.

Does Apt have a fashion case study on AppLovin?

Not a published one. Our public AppLovin case studies are in supplements and skincare. What we bring to apparel is how we run the platform across all accounts: $5M+ a month in AppLovin spend managed, a 1.86x average ROAS and a fastest scale to $10k a day in 7 days. We will share test results as they come in.

Should apparel brands use AppLovin's dynamic product catalog?

Yes, if you have five or more SKUs. The catalog shows up to 12 personalized products after the video, and AppLovin reports conversion lifts of up to 20% when it is set up well. For clothing, group colorways with Item Sets, use cross-sell logic and connect Shopify so availability and pricing stay current.

Can we advertise swimwear or lingerie on AppLovin?

Generally yes, but creative needs restraint. AppLovin prohibits explicit nudity and sexualized focus on specific body parts. Brief, non-explicit partial nudity is allowed. We frame swim, lingerie and shapewear around fit, fabric and support, with on-model shots that would pass a mainstream retail standard, and we review each cut before upload.

What budget should a fashion brand start with on AppLovin?

About $500 a day per campaign, following AppLovin's onboarding guide, across one cost-per-purchaser and one ROAS campaign. That gives the algorithm enough purchases to learn within the first couple of weeks. AppLovin's minimum is $10 a day, but low budgets make apparel tests slow to read, especially with many SKUs and sizes.
