AppLovin ads agency for jewelry brands

AppLovin reaches an older, gift-buying audience through full-screen video, which suits jewelry better than the channel's reputation suggests. Apt Digital, an official AppLovin Partner Agency, runs AppLovin campaigns for US jewelry brands with close-up creative and the disclosure rules jewelry needs.

Why AppLovin can work for jewelry brands

There is little public, jewelry-specific data on AppLovin yet. Fairing's category reports do not break jewelry out, we have not found a published jewelry case study from AppLovin or a third party, and Apt does not have one either. What the wider data shows still points somewhere useful.

  • Gifting: Fairing found gift purchases spiked to over 25% of mobile game ad responses in December, and stayed 34% higher than other channels after the holidays.
  • Age: KnoCommerce reported that over 96% of nearly 5,500 shoppers who said they bought from a mobile game ad were 45 or older. Fairing's Q1 2025 data put users over 55 at more than half of conversions.
  • Spending power: in AppLovin's Kantar study, 7 in 10 affluent mobile gamers had bought from an in-game ad. The study was commissioned by AppLovin, so weigh it accordingly.
  • Channel baseline: across 755 shops, Triple Whale measured AppLovin at 2.90 lifetime last-platform-click ROAS against 2.08 for other platforms, while it took only 7.7% of spend. That is cross-category, not jewelry data.

Jewelry creative that sells on a phone screen

Jewelry is small on a phone, so the creative has to do the work of a store counter: scale, light, weight and the moment of giving. AppLovin accepts video, statics and playables, and we use all three.

  • Gift-giver framing: 'What I got my wife for our 20th' or 'my daughter's graduation gift', with the occasion named in the first line.
  • Macro video in natural light, with clasp, chain weight and on-ear or on-hand scale shown.
  • Personalization on screen: engraving, birthstone choice or initials being stamped.
  • Unboxing with packaging and gift note, which answers 'will this look like a gift?'.
  • Price and material in the first seconds, which filters clicks toward buyers.
  • Occasion calendars: Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and the holidays. Common Thread suggests 10 to 15 active creative variations heading into Q4.

Compliance notes for jewelry ads

Jewelry carries two layers of rules: AppLovin's ad policies and the FTC Jewelry Guides. Both are easy to follow once they are built into the brief.

  • Counterfeits: AppLovin bans products bearing marks 'designed to resemble' another brand, and lists replicas, imitations and faux pieces as counterfeit. Avoid naming designer houses as a style reference.
  • Lab-grown stones: the FTC guides require a clear qualifier such as 'laboratory-grown', and 'real', 'genuine' or 'natural' cannot describe a lab-grown diamond.
  • Metals: disclose karat for gold under 24K, sterling silver must be .925, and rhodium plating must be disclosed.
  • Sales: AppLovin prohibits framing a promotion as time-limited when it runs for long periods, and price and promotion must match the landing page.

What a jewelry test on AppLovin looks like

Weeks one and two are about data, not profit. AppLovin's optimizer needs purchases to learn, and a $150 necklace produces fewer of them per dollar than a bottle of vitamins. We keep both campaigns live, avoid daily edits and add creative rather than cutting it.

By weeks three and four we look at CPA against your break-even, blended new-customer revenue and the share of post-purchase survey answers crediting game ads. If the numbers hold, we raise budget in steps on whichever campaign is ahead. If they do not, we say so and explain what we would change before you spend more.

  • Weekly report: spend, purchases, CPA and ROAS by campaign.
  • Top and bottom creatives, with the reason we think each won or lost.
  • Next week's creative plan, tied to the next gifting date.

How Apt runs AppLovin for jewelry brands

We connect your Shopify catalog so AppLovin can show personalized product tiles, with each metal, size or stone variant mapped to its own ID and product page. AppLovin reports typical conversion lifts of 10% to 25% from the catalog. Campaigns launch as one cost-per-purchaser and one ROAS campaign at about $500 a day each. Higher prices mean fewer daily purchases, so we judge early results on a longer window than we would for a consumable.

We plan gift creative four to six weeks ahead of each peak so new videos have time to learn. The first batch is on us; after that statics are $30 and AI video $75, ready in 3 to 5 business days. Management costs $750 a month per channel plus 2.5% of spend, with a $25,000 monthly cap on the spend fee. Read more on our AppLovin agency page.

Questions about AppLovin for jewelry brands

Does AppLovin work for jewelry brands?

There is not enough public data to say for sure. No jewelry-specific AppLovin case study has been published that we can find, including from Apt. The signals are encouraging: game-ad buyers skew older and buy gifts at a higher rate than other channels. We recommend a defined test with CPA and new-customer targets before scaling.

Who sees jewelry ads on AppLovin?

People playing mobile games such as puzzles, solitaire and word games, more than a billion a day worldwide. Survey data from KnoCommerce and Fairing shows buyers from these ads skew 45 and older, while AppLovin's Kantar study says gamers mirror the US adult population. Either way, the platform reaches many people with income who buy gifts for partners and family.

Can we advertise lab-grown diamonds on AppLovin?

Yes. Lab-grown diamonds are not a restricted category, but the FTC Jewelry Guides still apply. Qualify every mention with a term such as 'laboratory-grown' or 'lab-created', and do not call the stone 'real', 'genuine' or 'natural'. We write that language into scripts and end cards, and check that the landing page matches the ad.

When should a jewelry brand launch on AppLovin?

At least six weeks before a major gifting peak such as Valentine's Day, Mother's Day or the holidays. New campaigns and creatives need time to learn, and launching during the peak itself means paying for that learning when costs are highest. A September start, for example, gives a brand room to find winning creative before Q4.

Do you have a jewelry case study?

No, and we will not pretend otherwise. Apt's published AppLovin results are in supplements and skincare. Across all accounts we manage $5M+ a month in AppLovin spend, with a $10.33 lowest CPA and 1.86x average ROAS. For a jewelry brand we would agree test targets up front and report against your Shopify data each week.
